Huawei recently launched the Honor 6 Plus, which at first glance might look like another high-end Android smartphone, but packs quite a few surprises for shutterbugs. Just like the HTC One (M8), it also features a dual-camera setup, but with more powerful sensors. At the rear, it has two 8-megapixel lenses lined up side-by-side, claimed to provide a combined effective pixel size of 1.98-microns. The HTC One M8 still scores better in this regard with ability to produce a maximum of 2-microns, but practically the dual camera setup of Honor 6 Plus has a lot more to offer.
Huawei Honor 6 Plus – Camera features
Most important of all, the Huawei Honor 6 Plus is the first phone to offer shooting at variable aperture (from F0.95 to F16) without any add-on lenses. Making this possible is a powerful image signal processor (ISP) lying behind the symmetrical dual-camera setup. In addition, both cameras combined capture a bunch of light, resulting in to amazing low-light photography experience. Being placed offset side-by-side, they can see images from different viewpoints just like the two eyes. This again results in to an effective application of filters like 3D, lens effect, tilt shift etc. Another impressing camera feature is the ability to take pictures using volume rocker even when the screen is off. The Honor 6 Plus will also impress the selfie-lovers, as it has another 8-megapixel shooter on the front.

It is encased in a unibody casing with textured back and metallic rims.
The Honor 6 Plus runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat, customized with Emotion 3.0 UI. It is powered by Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 925 quad-core Cortex A15 processor and a quad-core Cortex A7 coprocessor, clocked at 1.8GHz.
