Symantec has been around approximately forever, and has a stellar reputation for providing excellent software options to protect computer from Internet threats. At a time when everyone seems to have everything stored on a computer of some sort that is connected to the Internet, and every cyber-thug in the world seems to be aware of the fact, Symantec’s Norton 360 is a “must-have”.
Norton offers three levels of protection to computer owners. The least expensive, Norton AntiVirus, is the most basic offering, protects against viruses and offers 24/7 chat or phone support for the first year you own it. If Internet viruses are your only real concern, this is a good choice for you, and certainly the most affordable one.
The most expensive, Norton 360, offers the best protection against viruses, spyware, adware, malware, Rootkit (which makes it harder to detect malware), phishing, identity theft, spam, and monitoring of Facebook for potentially harmful content. If you’re worried about your children surfing the web for inappropriate content (and children will do this!), you’ll absolutely love the parental controls.
Symantec’s most popular and moderately-priced option is Norton 360. It has the features of Norton AntiVirus, and also offers identity protection and guards against hackers. Like Norton’s other two options, Norton 360 comes with a full year of live phone or chat support, pretty much worth its weight in gold.
